The
Vice President is addressing the Filipino people to take this upcoming mid term
election seriously.
While
this mid-term election is being seen as a referendum to the popularity of
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the Chief Executive of the Republic.
Robredo
reminds the Filipino electorate to think of themselves and the welfare of their
families when they vote this coming May 13 elections.

“Hindi
lang dahil kinakampanya ko iyong Otso Diretso, pero sa lahat, kahit mga
kandidato for Congress, kandidato for the local elections, sana iyong mga
kababayan natin seryosohin iyong eleksyon,” she said.
Being
the highest elected official of the Liberal Party, Robredo stands as the
chairperson of the opposition, emphasized that the power belongs to the
electorate and urges them to choose the right candidates come election day.
“Ito
iyong pagpapaalala sa lahat na iyong kapangyarihan nasa kamay natin na
ordinaryong mga mamamayan, na sana iyong kapangyarihan na iyon, hindi natin
sinasayang,” she said.
“Kapag
nag-eeleksyon kasi mayroong impression na tinutulungan natin iyong kandidato.
Hindi eh. Kaya natin sila binoboto para sa atin,” the Vice-President stressed.
Candidates Track record &
qualifications
Robredo,
underscored not to be swayed by popularity of the candidates rather, they must scrutinize
the track record and qualifications so they can decide who will be the right
candidate to vote for.
“Huwag
naman dahil kakilala; huwag dahil ito iyong popular, ito iyong sinusuportahan
ng kung kanino, pero dahil sana sino ba ito,” said Robredo.
