It will be relentless.

Friday vowed that the purge of corruption in government will be relentless,

“Corruption. Wala akong pasensya (I
have no patience for that). And we will continue to purge government. Walang
sagrado dito sa akin. Ni anak ko, ni kaibigan ko, wala ako. Basta nandiyan ka,
nandiyan ka. Pasensya ka (No one is sacred, not children, not friends, no one.
As long as you’re there, sorry) period,” he said in a speaking engagement in
Negros Occidental.
This was on the same day he fired Philippine
Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) chairman Alexander Balutan over alleged
corruption issues.
Duterte says that even the honest
officials sometimes succumbs to temptation.
The President however, said he would
listen to those who could be victims of discrimination in their offices. He did
not give any particular example regarding that situation during
his speech.
Radical change is needed to end corruption in the
Philippines
In a different speaking engagement from
the President , he declares that radical change is needed to put to an end to
corruption in government.
“The way the bureaucracy is set up, it
is really conducive to or for corruption to thrive. Ganun ang Pilipinas,”
Duterte said in his remarks. “You would need a radical change overnight if you
want corruption to stop,” the President said.
