The Philippine Air Force (PAF) who has been somewhat in the limelight for its helicopter acquisitions – the T129 ATAK attack helicopters and 16 units of S-70 Blackhawks.
But there is another news that is also significant for the PAF, because they will be accepting four North American Rockwell OV-10 "Bronco" light-attack planes from the United States this 2019.

The Department of National Defense(DND)  will be paying for the cost of transportation and shipment of the planes to the country.
The four incoming OV-10s will augment the existing six to eight units currently in service with the PAF.
The OV-10s has served as the country’s premier ground attack aircraft which saw an extensive missions in the Marawi conflict  along with the trainer  SIAI-Marchetti SF-260 and the brand new Korea Aerospace Industries FA-50s in taking turn in attacking terrorist targets and strongholds of the Maute terrorists.
Becasuse of thes the PAF is the only air force in the world that operates the  OV-10 "Bronco" light-attack plane.
"Meron pa tayong (We still have) remaining OV 10s that we used in Marawi. They will augment these existing ones to support ground operations," DND Sec. Lorenzana said.
