Senator Trillanes seeks Duterte's full transparency on the deal re joint exploration with China

Wow! The Hypocrisy of  soon to be forgotten Senator Antonio Trillanes knows no bound.

Opposition SenatorAntonio Trillanes IV has made it public that he is DEMANDING TRANSPARENCY on the proposed deal between the Philippines and China involving natural resources, which are now being ironed out by the Duterte administration and the Chinese government.

Along with Liberal Party President Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan they have filed Senate resolution 943, which seeks a congressional inquiry into the proposed deal between the Philippines and China involving natural resources.

Both opposition senators are urging the Palace to release the “definitive draft” of the oil and gas agreements with China or any other agreements involving Philippine natural resources.

Blogger and PRRD supporter Carlo de Leon hit the bulls eye when he said that Senator Trillanes is either “plain stupid or simply insane”, for he himself under the Aquino administration has made backchannel negotiations with China. He visited China 16 times negotiating over Scarborough shoal- was he ever transparent on those negotiations and deals?

We should thank Senator Johnny Enrile that he was able to brought up that circumstance when he took note of Philippine Ambassador to China Sonia Brady which gave a detailed list of what transpired during the 16 secret visits of trillanes in China.

For the full Facebook shoutout of Carlo de Leon, we are quoting it in full below.

THE AUDACITY AND HYPOCRISY

Senator Trillanes is either plain stupid or simply insane. He has the audacity to demand transparency in the negotiations of the Philippine government with China when he himself visited China about 16 times during Noynoy’s term to backchannel negotiations with China on 2012 over Scarborough Shoal, known locally as Panatag Shoal.

NOW TRILLANES IS DEMANDING TRANSPARENCY? WHAT A HYPOCRITE!

“According to Enrile, the items in the Brady report dated Aug. 17 [2012] purported to show:

1. That the Chinese wanted the Philippines to “tone down the rhetoric” on its incursion in Panatag Shoal.

2. That Trillanes suspected that the United States was involved in creating tension in Panatag Shoal and that Del Rosario was “committing treason.”

3. That Trillanes “was protecting the Chinese,” “was alarmist” and accused Del Rosario of “creating a war event.”

4. That Trillanes asked businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan, a close friend of Del Rosario, to advise the secretary “to keep quiet, to quiet down” apparently because the secretary held a press conference decrying Chinese presence in Panatag Shoal

5. That Trillanes stated “no one cares about Panatag Shoal in the Philippines.”

6. That Trillanes said the Philippines “cannot enforce coastal protection” since fishermen subsist only on fishing and cannot venture far out.

7. That Trillanes boasted that he was able to make 40 Chinese ships leave Panatag Shoal.

8. That Trillanes volunteered to become the “direct channel” between China and Malacañang.”

  3. People accusing Trillanes are all rhetorics full of expletives ranting without proven facts.. lock him up to prove ur accusations.. it is just and right for Trillanes to call for a proper investigation between their transactions dealing with national interests.. he is just doing fine with his job and duty for the nation..

    1. True enough transparancy i warranted. But Trillanes should slso extend the same courtesy to the current government and be transparent of it dealings in panatag shoal when an inquiry is made. Teansparency goes both ways not one sided.

    2. We demand Trillanes to walk what he talk. Tell the Filipinos why you are walking away when you are trapped? It is obvious you are servicing yourself and not the Filipinos. You have the guts to ask when you opted to hide your shady dealings on SCARBOROUGH.Kidlatin ka for degrading the Senate as you are the worst Senator we have.
