President Duterte's remarks on sea dispute tantamount to selling sovereignty- Robredo

The Vice President is not silent regarding this issue.

The second highest ranked official of the land Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo calls out the Duterte administration to be transparent in all its agreements entered and agreed with China,on top of that he accuses President Rodrigo Duterte statements as selling the country’s sovereignty in her weekend radio show.

Last week the President was quoted saying China “is already in possession of the South China Sea, he expressed his reservations on holding military drills in the hotly contested waters.

"...I said China is already in possession. It’s now in their hands. So why do you have to create frictions, strong military activity that will prompt a response from China?" President Duterte said.

The Vice President explains that such remarks being uttered by the President should not be taken lightly as this could have further implications for the generations to come.
Kasi iyong pagbuhay ng bawat Pilipino, nakataya dito," added the Vice president.
