NPA burns Day Care Center in North Cotabato






President Rodrigo Roa Duterte suspended the peace negotiations with the Communists Party of the Philipine New People’s Army for a good reason- lack of sincerity and continuous treacherous despite a declared ceasefire are the usual justifications.

New reached the Philippine Army (PA) that the NPA did it again, but now not against the government forces but as against the common Filipino or plain civilians. A daycare center in Magpet, North Cotobato was burned by members of the NPA operating in the area.

25 members of NPA cadres swooped down on the daycare center at Purok 6, Barangay Mahongcog in Magpet, tying the hands of the teacher—whom he refused to identify—and seized the identification card, which they also burned, Lt. Col. Ehrlich Noel Paraso, commander of the Army’s 19th Infantry Battalion said in a statement.
Apparently the daycare center was burned because the maoist rebels failed “to extort P50,000” from the local barangay officials, said Paraso.

They  the village by wearing military inspired uniforms and introduced themselves to local residents as members of the 39th Infantry Battalion, as told by witnesses .

No civilian were reported injured or killed during the incident.
