Being the
President of a country is a feat on its own.
Along with
the territory is that you have to work your ass of and still expect some
quarters will not be pleased with what your doing.
Criticisms, constant
bashing, baseless personal attacks , and the vicious crab mentality that is
embedded in our DNA as Filipinos comes along with the territory when one
occupies Malacanang.

100 million
plus Filipinos are looking up to the president expecting him to create an
everyday miracle because they don’t expect less from a president of the
Republic of the Philippines.
Presidential
Legal adviser and concurrent Presidential Spokesperson and the President’s good
friend Attorney. Salvador Panelo puts Duterte in such high regard saying that
Rodrigo Duterte has already set a high standard as President of the country
that whoever will follow in his steps would have a hard time matching his
achievements.
This was the
honest to goodness assessment made by Atty. Panelo, he has already labelled the
next occupant of Malacanang must have the same characteristics of Duterte if
they want to succeed.
“Well, my take is that this president has set a
standard of a leader in this country, and there is no other way from those who
will succeed him to be like him. One underlying principle serving and
protecting this country,” Atty. Panelo said.
“He has set
the standards of how a leader should govern this country,” he added.
The
Presidential Legal counsel, however , said the future chief executive should
still try to replicate Duterte.
“[They]
should be like him—in other words, courageous, independent, diplomatic,
creative. He’s a thinking president,” Panelo said.
Atty. Panelo
points to the fact that President Duterte was able to establish a stong and very
healthy bilateral with China, setting aside a possible escalation of hostilities
in the area, where may political analyst as Asia’s “Flashpoint.”
And we have
also made giant strides with our bilateral ties with Russia and the rest of the
country’s he has gone to, Israel, Jordan are some of the few countries the
President was able to visit in the first half of his presidency.
