The PNP takes all threats vs. Pres. Duterte seriously

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is not taking the rumors as plain rumors with respect to the threats to the sitting Philippine President.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said that his office are taking all reports coming their seriously with regards to threats to the life of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

"We take and consider all the threats against the life of the President seriously," Albayalde told members of the media, he also adds that they don’t dismiss the supposed threats whether local or foreign.

The PNP Chief described as inaccurate the reports claiming that the PNP sees that there is no threat to the life of the President.

"(I want) to debunk some inaccurate reports sourced from some misquoted information attributed to me as having issued statements to the effect that there is no threat on the life of the president. For good measure we take the security concerns of the president very seriously .We always assume that there is a continuing threat on the life of the President as we are taking it seriously because there is always that possibility that some interest groups may want him out of their way including the underground communist movement, local terrorist organizations and even foreign entities," PNP Chief Albayalde said.

The PNP Chief said that all reported threats on the President’s life should be taken seriously most especially if the info comes directly from him.

"We cannot all say that these are all fictitious. These are all raw intelligence information that needs to be validated," he added.

Albayalde said at the onset of the war on drugs, there had been reports of drug lords offering an assassination contract worth P100M for the president’s head and that of former PNP chief and now Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Ronald dela Rosa.

"I honestly believe that the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police can adequately protect the president against anyone who wish him harm," Albayalde added.

  1. Protect Duterte at all costs. Let the president take the people to the environment clean of drugs and crimes. God bless him in Jesus Christ name, amen.
