Focus on rising prices, unsolved killings instead of Cha Cha -Robredo

Untimely.

Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo thinks it not appropriate to talk about amending the 1987 Constitution when the nation is faced with so many problems, she cites the spate of killings of local executives, priests, those alleged victims of the government’s crackdown on illegal drugz, and the increase of prices of primary commodities.

Robredo added that amending the current Constitution would affect every Filipino amd should not be done in haste.

Robredo reiterates that the  ordinary Filipinos want their leaders to find answers and solutions to basic problems such as low wages and the seemingly non-stop rising of prices of goods. Inflation just reached 5.2% in June which is much higher last May - 4.6%.

The consultative committee formed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte which is tasked to provide amendments to the 1987 Constitution has approved the draft charter proposing a federal system of government, and any day now they will submit such draft to MalacaƱang.
