"No doubt, Duterte is an anti-Christ. More than his numerous anti-God and anti-Church statements, Duterte has been promoting a culture of killing, violence, hatred, misogyny, and indecency among our people," Senator Trillanes, in a prepared statement.

"In other words, everything that was taught to us growing up as Christians or as Filipinos is being undone by Duterte's evil ways," he added.

Senator Trillanes has been one of the staunch critic of the President, which reports say started when he was not chosen to be the running mate of Duterte last 2016 elections.

In the past few weeks the President has been telling the nation what is in his mind regarding the Catholic church, some are critical dwelling on the affairs of the Church with the nation and others regarding the teachings of the Catholic church.

The President was even asked if he is willing to apologize for all the things he has said, and his reply was that “not in a million years.”

The President has come out in telling that he stopped being a catholic when he was molested when he was still a student in Ateneo De Davao, while he was in a confession.

With all this tirades with the Catholic Church, Malacañan has arranged with the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines president Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles this coming July 9th.
