Good job Cebu!!!
Since the government has been very active in making our
tourist spots known worldwide, slowly the province of Cebu is proving that it
can be with the big guns of the country, and that is the perennial tourist
favorites- Boracay Isaland in Aklan and
God’s precious gift to the Philippines- the beautiful Palawan.
The traditional attractions in Cebu are being magnified by
its beautiful beaches, slowly gaining popularity for both local and foreign
tourists. Gone are the days, that its only Sinulog in January is the main
attraction of the Queen City of the South, its pristine beaches are the now on
the spotlight.

Conde Nast Traveler, an international
travel magazine has included Cebu in its list of “10 Warm Places We’d Rather Be
Right Now,” which featured warm-temperature destinations that editors of the
magazine are dreaming about during the cold and frigid winter season.
“I’d rather be wading through the clear Philippine Sea as schools of
brightly colored tropical fish swim around me,” Conde Nast Traveler senior
editor Erin Florio said.
“I’ve snorkeled all over the world; even knee-deep, the waters off the
coast of Cebu can’t be beat,” Florio added.
Destinations in Buzios in Brazil,
Chiang Mai in Thailand and Karpathos in Greece, all of which are also
warm-temperature locations are just a few of the places that accompanies Cebu
in the “10 Warm Places We’d Rather Be Right Now” list.
It should be noted that last October, readers
of Conde Nash Traveler voted Cebu and the Visayan islands as the second best
island in the world in 2017.
“Not as wild as Phuket in Thailand, Cebu City is more personal, with
plenty of up-and-coming restaurants and shopping,” Conde Nast Traveler earlier
reported.
Included in the best island in the world list are Boracay and Palawan and which secured first and the
third spot respectively. *
The country beaches is the forefront of the Tourism department as it has
been receiving a lot of interest from tourist all over the world.
Travel+Leisure, another
international travel magazine, last week included five Philippine beaches on
the 365 beaches to visit in 2018 list. Among these are the Seven Comandos
Beach, Payong-Payong Beach, Hidden Beach and Linapacan islands, all in Palawan,
and the pristine white beach of Boracay
island.
